Founded in Newport Beach, CA, the story of DYLN Inspired is one about love and adventure. Inspired by its founders who believed there was something more to life than what meets the eye. What followed was a desire to create something that captures that youthful yearning to live life to the fullest.

DYLN recently launched its DYLN Stainless Steel Water Bottle, which energizes the body and reduces plastic bottle usage & waste.

What is the DYLN scholarship?

Our $1,000 scholarship is designed to get our nation’s youth to think critically about the overuse of plastic in U.S. society.

This brings us to our scholarship topic: Devise a creative initiative, that if successful, would reduce the daily use of plastics in our everyday lives.

How to apply for the scholarship

Write a 500-800 word essay about an initiative you would propose to our nation’s leaders which would bring about a reduction in the use of plastics in America. Essays should be sent in Word or PDF format. We are looking for a solution to this problem which is both creative and practical. Data visualization is also permitted and encouraged.

Your submission should be attached to an email and sent to scholarship@dyln.co. Please include:
  • Full name
  • University
  • Degree
  • A short introduction about yourself

Terms and Conditions

Applicant Eligibility

  1. Both Domestic and International Students attending college in the US may apply.
  2. There is no GPA requirement.
  3. All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, in full time university education for the semester they are applying. Part-time students do not qualify for this scholarship.

Scholarship is available for:

  • Graduate students
  • Undergraduate students
  • Incoming college freshmen
  • Vocational school students
  • Technical college students
  • Community college students

One application can be made per student, per scholarship period.

Dates and Scholarship Availability

Applications received before July 1, 2016, if chosen, are eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship by mid-September, 2016

Applications received between July 2, 2016 – July 1, 2017, if chosen, are eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship by mid-September, 2017.

One scholarship will be awarded each year.
